2025 has already been a year to remember for Indian music fans. From the arena-shaking performances of Green Day and Coldplay to the boyish charm of Louis Tomlinson and the chart-topping hits of Shawn Mendes, India has witnessed some of the world’s biggest artists up close.
And the excitement isn’t slowing down. If anything, the second half of the year is shaping up to be even louder, bigger, and more electrifying, with a star-studded roster of international acts landing across major Indian cities. Here’s everything you need to know.
Smashing Pumpkins
Bangalore, October 11, Terraform Arena
First up, rock fans in Bangalore have a reason to rejoice. Chicago-based legends Smashing Pumpkins are finally coming to India after 36 years of shaping alternative rock. Frontman Billy Corgan, along with founding members James Iha and Jimmy Chamberlin, will be joined by bassist Jack Bates, multi-instrumentalist Katie Cole, and guitarist Kiki Wong for a full-blown rock spectacle.
“We’re thrilled to be finally coming to India. Our music has been unmistakably shaped by this great and mighty culture, and it will be an honour to play for you, and loudly! For what we hope will be the first of many trips to come,” Corgan said. Fans can expect wall-to-wall hits, a high-energy live set, and a concert experience that pays tribute to three-and-a-half decades of rock history.
Travis Scott
New Delhi, October 18–19, Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium
Hip-hop heads, brace yourselves. Travis Scott’s Circus Maximus Tour is hitting India for the very first time, and it promises to be an unforgettable spectacle. Known for turning every show into a cinematic, high-octane event, Scott is set to perform in New Delhi over two nights before heading to Mumbai’s Mahalaxmi Racecourse on November 19.
With chart-toppers like Sicko Mode and Goosebumps, Travis brings genre-defying visuals, pyrotechnics, and a stage presence that has become legendary worldwide. “It’s going to be an experience you’ll never forget,” says one fan eagerly anticipating tickets. For those in India, this isn’t just a concert—it’s a first glimpse at one of hip-hop’s biggest live acts.
Jason Derulo
Shillong, November 14, Cherry Blossom Festival
Pop-R&B sensation Jason Derulo makes his Indian debut at the iconic Cherry Blossom Festival in Shillong. Known for sharp choreography, electrifying stage presence, and a string of international club hits including Talk Dirty, Wiggle, and Savage Love, Derulo is set to deliver one of the biggest pop performances of the year, particularly for India’s Northeast.
Fans can expect a set that’s high-energy, fun, and brimming with audience interaction—a rare opportunity to catch a global pop star in such a stunning, intimate setting. “This marks a major moment for the festival circuit,” says one fan.
Passenger
Bangalore, November 22, Phoenix Marketcity
Brighton-based singer-songwriter Michael Rosenberg, aka Passenger, is finally making his India debut this November. India is among his top eight global markets, and fans have been clamouring for years for an Indian tour. “I can’t tell you how excited I am to finally come to India to play some shows! For so many years people have been requesting a Passenger tour, so it’s lovely to finally be able to say that it’s happening!” he said.
Passenger’s soulful, intimate folk-pop hits promise a calmer, more reflective concert experience—a perfect contrast to the high-octane energy of Travis Scott or Jason Derulo. He will perform across three Indian cities, with Bangalore part of this first-of-its-kind tour.
Linkin Park
Mumbai, January 25, Mahalaxmi Race Course
And finally, rock fans have another jaw-dropping reason to celebrate – Linkin Park is coming to India. The excitement began when a Bank of Baroda notification accidentally leaked the band’s participation, urging fans to book tickets with RuPay cards. Social media buzz intensified with cryptic Lollapalooza India posts referencing their 2024 album From Zero and the song The Emptiness Machine.
Mike Shinoda confirmed the news in a newsletter, saying, “India has been somewhere we’ve wanted to play for a long time. Our fans there are incredibly passionate and we can’t wait to finally bring our live show to them.” Fans can expect a set packed with classics as well as tracks from their latest album—a rock spectacle of global scale finally hitting Indian shores.
From heart-thumping hip-hop to rock anthems, pop hits, and soulful ballads, 2025 is India’s year of live music domination. Whether you’re in Bangalore, Mumbai, Delhi, or Shillong, there’s a world-class concert waiting for you. Tickets are flying, energy levels electric… and you’re welcome!
